Ceramic Peggy Tucson Candle
Ceramic Peggy Tucson Candle
Ceramic Peggy Tucson Candle by Astier de Villatte. Poured into the oblong Peggy white ceramic footed dish with sculpted grooves, this candle moves effortlessly between functional object and decorative centrepiece.
Formulated exclusively for Astier de Villatte, it reflects the House’s meticulous approach to both ceramic form and fragrance, offering a clean, even burn and a nuanced scent experience. The fragrance evokes Tucson’s desert landscape, blending lightly smoky and sweet notes of wild grasses, parched wood, immortelle, and sun-warmed red earth, composed with rosemary, rose, Atlas cedar, vetiver, and patchouli in collaboration with perfumer Alexandra Monet.
The plant-based wax, enriched with beeswax and free from paraffin, releases scent beautifully both cold and lit, while a pure cotton wick ensures a clear, soot-free flame.
Every piece of Astier de Villatte is hand crafted in Paris by a Tibetan ceramicist, using pre-industrial techniques that have been passed down for generations. Starting with black terracotta, each piece is finished with a milky glaze that amplifies the unique character of the clay, celebrating its imperfections and ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.
Precautionary measures:
At no time should any burning candle be left unattended. Keep lighted candles out of reach of children and pets. Keep the wick trimmed to 5 or 6 mm, this length should be maintained thoughout the burning process. Ensure that the wick maintains its central position. Extinguish any candle that smokes excessively (check instructions before relighting). Do not burn a candle on a flammable or fragile surface. Do not let a candle burn for more than three consecutive hours.
