Bao Bao is one of the most recognised lines within the Issey Miyake universe, born from the same obsession with materials and movement that defined everything Issey Miyake made. Each bag is built from small triangular vinyl panels set onto a flexible mesh — a construction that allows it to shift and reshape constantly, expanding to its contents, collapsing flat, never holding quite the same form twice. Ultralight and nearly indestructible, Bao Bao carries the same logic as Miyake's pleated garments: that good design should adapt to life, not resist it.
