Every piece of Astier de Villatte is hand crafted in Paris by a Tibetan ceramicist, using pre-industrial techniques that have been passed down for generations. Starting with black terracotta, sourced from the Parisian basin, each piece is finished with a milky glaze that amplifies the unique character of the clay, celebrating its imperfections and ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.
