You may be wondering why we haven’t updated you for quite some time.. it’s because we have been super busy working on some exciting additions to our website. We are pleased to announce that we will now be entering a new phase of retail shopping; our online shop will be active in 5 days time!

We have been focused on creating a virtual space that will showcase a selection of our beautiful designers and maintain our directional aesthetic; this progression will offer a new kind of service and we are thrilled to share it with you. Like all our spaces, the online shop will be constantly evolving. Melbourne based label Claude Maus has long been a favourite of mine since discovering it during my high school years. Still going strong, designer Rob Maniscalco seems to be refining the brand as he and the rest of us, all get a little older.

I am very pleased to announce that Claude Maus will now be available at DILETTANTE.

First drop has just arrived today, so expect some beautiful, light as a feather, ethereal pieces for the girls and Claude’s now classic drop croutch trackies for the boys, in store from tomorrow.

Inspired by the David Lynch film ‘Dune’ and the architecture of Zaha Hadid, Ben Pollitt’s 8th collection for Friedrich Gray is a dazzling mix of sleek, luxurious and modern pieces created to be timeless classics. Titled Transgression, the collection features draped, clean and feminine lines with a strong focus on the touch and feel of the super soft wool and silk georgette.

The collection includes luxurious leather jackets and the new season’s print (a collaboration between Pollitt and contemporary artist Scrapwall), which literally documents their conversations over previous seasons onto silk georgettes and marino wool. These patterns are featured prominently throughout the body of the collection as design inserts and engineered placements to compliment the cut and drape of the garment.

Only a hand picked few stores Australia wide are now able to sell line Y’s and Dilettante is the exclusive stockist for Western Australia.

What I love about this collection is the versatility of each piece and how easy it is to wear…it also helps that every item is extremely comfortable and made from the highest quality wools, silks and cottons. The collection also comprises of the most beautiful, cosy knit wear, perfect for cold days like today. I already have a favourite, an over-sized hooded zip up jacket, which kept a lovely warm cocoon around me whilst walking to work in the rain this morning.
