Our very own Perth Label, One Fell Swoop thrilled the crowd at Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival Yesterday.
The trio opened their show with short dresses in pale pinks and champagne. The collection then took a darker turn with black tartan pieces, closing with a stunning black evening gown.
The show was presented with models walking to the sound of 17th Century music. Daniel Rominin says the choice of music came about from wanting the music to reflect the simple elgance of the new collection, therefore choosing one of the first songs ever composed.
The new collection will be available at Dilettante.

You may know Tane Andrews’ for his long distance partnership in clothing and jewellery label, Of Cabbages and Kings. While Andrews is based in Perth, business partner Kira Knightly works from her new home town in London. They have dressed and designed costumes for musicians like Dandi Wind and Fan Death.
But Tane is a man of many talents, and once again has been busy working on a new creative endevour.
The concept for Repetitive By Nature, started almost over a year ago. Tane tells me he was watching moths fly around a gas lamp- “they would keep coming back to the lamp until they eventually flew too close, burnt and died.” Andrews’ collected the remains and began to draw them.
The show will consist of a series of illustrations of the moths as well as an installation using real (dead) Luna moths. The works explore the themes of repetition, mortality and the passage of time.
Exhibition opens Saturday 28th February at 6pm and runs until Friday 3rd April. Kurb Gallery, 310 William st Northbridge.
