Open to young designers on the French and international fashion scene, the ANDAM Paris International Fashion Award for almost 20 years has honoured nearly 80 fellowship winners and helped launch the careers of many big names in fashion, including Martin Margiela (1989), Viktor & Rolf (1994) and Jeremy Scott (1998).

For 2008, with a unique endowment of 150,000 Euros, the ANDAM Paris International Fashion Award is the largest international fashion prize. This year Gareth Pugh has won the award that will enable him to develop his label and to organize for the first time a fashion show in Paris.

Gareth Pugh first debuted at London Fashion Week in 2005, off-schedule as part of Fashion East’s group show. Following Fashion East later that year, his illuminated finale piece became the focus of HSBC’s global advertising campaigning, worn by Jade Parfitt.

His first on-schedule show in 2006 was part of ON | OFF, when he also enjoyed for the first time New Generation support from Topshop, which was also awarded to him for his next show later that year. In 2007, he headlined at the MID_E Festival at the Guggenheim Museum’s 10th anniversary in Bilbao. He was then crowned Young Designer of The Year at ELLE Style Awards. He recently held his 5th on-schedule show at London Fashion Week.

He regularly works with Kylie Minogue on her tours, the photographer Nick Knight, SHOWstudio, and works closely with: Swarovski, Moët et Chandon, and M.A.C Cosmetics.

For the past 3 seasons, he has produced a selling collection manufactured in Italy, which is stocked by some the most fashion forward international boutiques and stores including: Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, and Seven NY in New York, Maxfield in LA, Colette and L’Eclaireur in Paris, Dover Street Market and Browns in London, and IT in Hong Kong.

For the first time in Australia, his collection will be available in Dilettante this winter.
